“Young Entrepreneur – 2012” is a competition to elicit the entrepreneurship skills of the participants in various rounds by testing their business ideas, enterprising attitudes, communication, spontaneity of thought, analytical skills, business acumen, team work etc.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All the students of B.Tech of any branch are eligible.
HOW TO APPLY?
i) A team of two students (maximum) can register for the competition by sending their innovative business idea by email on or before 18th February, 2012.
ii) The selected candidates should prepare a business plan (Power point and a Chart) containing the following aspects:
- Key activities
- Value proposition
- Cost structure
- Key resources
- Revenue streams
- Channels
- Customer segments
- Competitor analysis
ROUNDS OF THE COMPETITION
1. Business Plan round: In this round the participants should present their business idea in the form of a power point presentation. The presentation should not exceed 5 min. A chart of their plan containing all the above mentioned aspects of business plan should be submitted to the judges before their presentation.
2. Money making round: This is a dynamic round. The participants will be given a task and they should perform it on the spot.
3. Business Acumen round: This is a rapidfire round. In this round the knowledge of the participants regarding various leading business enterprises will be tested.
4. Ad making round: The participants have to make an ad to promote their plan. They will be given a chart wherein they can present their ad along with a caption.
5. Case analysis round: Here a case will be given, the participants should analyse the case and write their analysis.
NOTE: ANY CHANGES IN THE ABOVE ROUNDS AND FURTHER DETAILS OF THE ROUNDS WILL BE UPLOADED ON THE WEBSITE AFTER 18th February, 2012.
